Summary: This study analyzes narrative construction aspects of the Brazilian telenovela Liberdade, Liberdade, which has been broadcasted in Brazil by Rede Globo between April and August 2016. We seek to understand the discursive and textual faces that were utilized in the construction of the narrative and, understanding the genre as a cultural matrix, we will try to show that the discussion around the theme of freedom from the establishment of connections with contemporary circulating discourses is a fundamental mark of the dialogical traits and of the approach to daily life assumed by the telenovela in focus.
