Resumo: Identifying parental practices contingent to the behavior of children is important to support interventions. This study compares parental disciplinary practices with the behavior of children in a clinical group with behavioral problems (n = 27) and of a group of children without behavioral problems (n = 26). The criterion to assign children in the clinical and non-clinical groups was obtained from the Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL). Information concerning parents-children interaction was obtained through the application of the Parental Educative Social Skills Interview Script (RE-HSE-P), which evaluates positive and negative educational practices, context, behavioral problems and children's social skills. Qualitative and quantitative analyses (Mann Whitney's test) were used in the groups' comparison. The results indicate that behaviors that differentiate between the clinical and non-clinical groups are mainly those related to positive educational practices and children's social skills.

La identificación de las habilidades sociales es importante para las intervenciones de apoyo educativo a los padres. El objetivo es comparar las prácticas de crianza y el comportamiento de niños de un grupo de niños considerados clínicos con problemas de comportamiento (n = 27), con un grupo de niños no clínicos o sin problemas de comportamiento (n = 26). El criterio para la inclusión de los niños en clínicos o no clínicos se obtuvo a partir del CBCL, y los datos de la interacción padre-hijo fueron recogidos mediante el Guión de Entrevista de Habilidades Sociales para Educación de los Padres (RE-HSE-P), que evalúa las prácticas educación positiva y negativa, el contexto, los problemas de comportamiento y habilidades sociales para los niños. Se efectuó análisis cualitativo y cuantitativo (Mann Whitney) para comparar los grupos. Los resultados indican que las conductas que diferencian a los grupos son principalmente los relacionados con las prácticas educativas positivas y habilidades sociales para los niños. A identificação de práticas parentais contingentes aos comportamentos dos filhos é importante para subsidiar intervenções. Este estudo teve como objetivo comparar práticas educativas parentais e comportamentos de crianças de um grupo de crianças considerado clínico/com problema de comportamento (n = 27), com um grupo de crianças não clínico/sem problema de comportamento (n = 26). O critério de inclusão das crianças nos grupos clínico e não clínico foi obtido a partir do CBCL, e os dados da interação pais-filhos foram colhidos por meio do Roteiro de Entrevista de Habilidades Sociais Educativas Parentais (RE-HSE-P), que avalia práticas positivas e negativas de educação, contexto, problemas de comportamento e habilidades sociais infantis. Procedeu-se às análises qualitativa e quantitativa (Teste Mann Whitney) de forma a comparar os grupos. Os resultados apontam que os comportamentos que diferenciam os grupos clínico e não clínico são, sobretudo, os relacionados às práticas educativas positivas e às habilidades sociais infantis.
