Evaluation of the nursing assistence ambulatorial in the client perception

Resumo: | This study reveals the clients perception of a pediatric ambulatory in a great University Hospital, about the quality of the offered nursing assistance. An investigation was oriented by the phenomenologic approach which propitiated the reveling of reality investigated from the analysis of the interviewed clients discourses. The studied answers were grouped in three categories: the Nursing Work, the Nursing Attitude and the Evaluation of the Received Assistance. Upon these topics the interviewed clients formed a not very clear concept of nursing as science and as a profession. The related aspects and the commentaries about the expected and the meeted behaviours by the nursing professionals merited a larger part of attention by the interviewed clients. The evaluation of the received attendance was centered on absence of complaints. The interviewed clients expectance is directed towards the satisfaction of the security and acceptance needs from wich the mothers of children are deprieved. The attendance of this necessities give mothers conditions for establishment of a profissional-client link to a therapeutic relationship. Wich the devolution of the findings to the nurses responsibles for the ambulatory assistance, we pretended to contribute to the improvement of the offered assistential quality. |

A investigação foi orientada pela abordagem fenomenológica, que propiciou o desvelamento da realidade investigada a partir da análise do discurso dos clientes entrevistados. As falas estudadas foram agrupadas em três categorias: o Trabalho da Enfermagem, a Atitude da Enfermagem e a Avaliação do Atendimento Recebido. Sobre estes temas os entrevistados construíram uma conceituação pouco nítida da Enfermagem como ciência e como profissão. Os aspectos relacionais e os comentários sobre os comportamentos esperados e encontrados no relacionamento com os profissionais de enfermagem mereceram a maior parcela de atenção do entrevistados. A avaliação da assistência recebida foi centrada na ausência de queixas. A expectativa dos entrevistados esteve dirigida para a satisfação das necessidades de segurança e aceitação de que se acham privadas as mães de crianças que adoecem. O atendimento dessas necessidades propicia condições para o estabelecimento do vínculo profisssional-cliente, a partir do qual se contruirá o relacionamento terapêutico. Com a devolução dos resultados às enfermeiras responsáveis pela assistência ambulatorial, pretendeu-se contribuir para a melhoria da qualidade da assistência prestada.Universidade de São Paulo.
