Resumo: | The authors applied the teaching experience with the intention of make contact with students of nursing's graduation and patients with tracheostomy, yonder develop them theoretical-practical's teaching about the technic of tracheostomy's secretions suction and propitiate them opportunity to apply the above mentioned technic, independent or not of assume during the period of training these patienfs assistance. The authors concluded that the experience was valid and that planed's periods to theore-tical's studies and practical's tasks about the technic of tracheostomy's secretions suction are importants to offer to the students contact with the patient and this method, indispensable to his wellbeing and security. |

The authors concluded that the experience was valid and that planed's periods to theore-tical's studies and practical's tasks about the technic of tracheostomy's secretions suction are importants to offer to the students contact with the patient and this method, indispensable to his wellbeing and security.Os autores aplicaram experiência de ensino, com o intuito de promover contato de alunos de graduação em enfermagem com pacientes portadores de traqueostomia, além de desenvolver-lhes conhecimentos teórico-práticos sobre a técnica de aspiração de secreções pela traqueostomia e propiciar-lhes oportunidades de aplicar a referida técnica, independentemente ou não de assumirem, durante os estágios, a assistência a esses pacientes. Concluíram que a experiência foi válida e que períodos planejados para estudos teóricos e tarefas práticas sobre a técnica de aspiração de secreções pela cánula de traqueostomia são importantes para proporcionar aos alunos oportunidade de interação com o paciente, que é imprescindível para o seu conforto e segurança.Universidade de São Paulo.
