A base para esta reflexão é dada pela contraposição entre o ideal liberal de indivíduo e os seus limites apontados por Marx e Freud. Conclui-se que a tentativa de se entender um objeto, produto de duas esferas distintas, com um único conceito, retira as peculiaridades desta dupla mediação que o constitui Universidade de São Paulo.
