Resumo: | : Since the beginnings of his work, Manuel Bandeira took some poets from the Portuguese tradition as source of inspiration. In his memoirs, the poet tells in detail about the readings and thinking during his formative period, many of which revolve around literary procedures and resources that also led him to question the precepts of versification of the Parnassian school prevalent in Brazilian literature of the early 20th century. Among these poets, Camões stands out as the great model from which it would be possible to draw lessons, rather than fixed models, which are manifested in the sonnet published in A Cinza das Horas, and dedicated by the young Bandeira to the sixteenth-century poet. |
