Resumo: For some years, Brazil has attracted migrants from different countries, highlighting the expressive number of Venezuelans. In this context, the article presents a review of the norms, laws and treaties to which Brazil is a signatory on the migration agenda in the world. It also discusses the Brazilian internal legislation on the subject. It briefly presents the implications of the Venezuelan exodus that began in 2015. Through a literature review, the study discusses the legal conditions of migrants and refugees. With regard to data collection, the research is classified as documentary. An on-site study visit was also made, in the city of Boa Vista-RR, to get to know the shelters for Venezuelan refugees and immigrants, the work of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Interiorization and Triage Post (PITRIG) of the Operation Welcomed.
