Resumo: The present work aims to analyze the production of narratives and the construction of meanings about the memories of madness formed by the documentary “Juquery – Lugar Fora do Mundo”, directed by Alex Tajra, produced by Globo News and released in 2022. Through of Narratology (MOTTA, 2005; BORGES, 2014), the article also aims to point out in what ways journalism, as a media tool, is capable of being an instrument of memory, at the same time that it influences the process of forgetting, silencing and erasing, and how the act of narrating can shape and build new meanings about madness in time.

Através da Narratologia (MOTTA, 2005; BORGES, 2014), o artigo também visa apontar de que modos o jornalismo, enquanto ferramenta midiática, é capaz de ser instrumento de memória, ao mesmo tempo em que influencia no processo de esquecimento, silenciamento e apagamento, e de como o ato de narrar pode dar forma e construir novos sentidos sobre a loucura no tempo.Universidade de São Paulo.
