Resumo: This article seeks to understand how discussions related to situations, experiences and problems faced by minority groups based on gender markers are represented, between 1978 and 2018, by vehicles of the so-called reference journalism, choosing, as a universe of investigation, the newspapers O Estado de S. Paulo, O Globo and Folha de S. Paulo. It inquires, especially, about the mediations built on the emergence of a contemporary discursivity that remodels political conceptions and assumes a position of competition in relation to the discourses of modernity. Based on a corpus of 81 journalistic comments, the aim is to identify semantic isotopies indicative of the circulating discourses on gender that cross and constitute the staging of social dialogue in the reference press in Brazil.

Indaga-se, especialmente, sobre as mediações construídas sobre a emergência de uma discursividade contemporânea que remodela concepções políticas e assume posição de concorrência em relação a discursos da modernidade.
