Reference journalism: the concept behind the expression

Resumo: | This paper presents a conceptual analysis about the term “reference journalism” when identifying and analyzing Brazilian and foreign researches on the subject. By a movement of metaanalysis, captures different uses such as delimitation of the object of study, justification corpus, methodological strategy or theoretical construct. Aims to recover the elements triggered by the researchers use the terms “reference”, “elite”, “prestige” or “quality”. Thus, a mapping of academic texts in 15 years was drawn from the database of Theses and Dissertations of Capes, which, in turn, led to others. Through this process, 13 investigations for an analysis of the concept of “Journalism Reference” were selected. In this work of “research about research” also were included works about Journalism of Letters field and Language Studies. This construct provides important elements for the analysis of journalism itself. |

Por un movimiento de meta-análisis, aprehende diferentes usos, como delimitación de objeto de estudio, justificación de corpus, estrategia metodológica o construcción teórica. Intenta recuperar los elementos accionados por los investigadores al emplear las expresiones "de referencia", "de élite", "de prestigio" o "de calidad". Se elaboró un mapeamiento de textos académicos de los últimos 15 años, a partir del Banco de Tesis y Disertaciones de la Capes, que, a su vez, llevaron a otros. Por ese proceso, se seleccionaron 13 investigaciones para un análisis del concepto de "Periodismo de Referencia". En este ejercicio de "investigación de la investigación" fueron cotejados, también, trabajos sobre Periodismo de las áreas de Letras y Estudios de Lenguaje. De la misma forma, investigaciones producidas en otros países, como forma de ampliar la comprensión del concepto.Este artigo apresenta uma análise conceitual da expressão “Jornalismo de Referência” ao identificar e analisar investigações brasileiras e estrangeiras sobre essa temática. Por um movimento de meta-análise, apreende diferentes usos, como delimitação de objeto de estudo, justificativa de corpus, estratégia metodológica ou construção teórica. Busca recuperar os elementos acionados pelos investigadores ao empregar as expressões “de referência”, “de elite”, “de prestígio” ou “de qualidade”. Para tanto, foi elaborado um mapeamento de textos acadêmicos dos últimos 15 anos, a partir do Banco de Teses e Dissertações da Capes, que, por sua vez, levaram a outros. Por esse processo, foram selecionadas 13 investigações para uma análise do conceito de “Jornalismo de Referência”. Neste exercício de “pesquisa da pesquisa” foram cotejados, também, trabalhos sobre Jornalismo das áreas de Letras e Estudos de Linguagem.
