Resumo: The article deals with the critique of the current Brazilian theater production. Starting from the Odisséia do Teatro Brasileiro event, which gathered a few of the most important names in the theater, the author confronts the theater situation in the 1960's and 1970's with the current situation. He discusses how the television and the advertising market rules have guided the productions, and criticizes the continual repetition and lack of dedication of those who are involved in the area to search for greater dramaturgical quality inspired in the Brazilian reality.
