Resumo: The present study indicates a mapping of dissertations and thesis, produced between 2008 and 2020, in Graduate Programs focused on Science and Mathematics Teaching and Education and Education Programs. The main focus of the search was the inclusion in Science Education of people with visual impairment. In this sense, we discuss, first, the possibilities and resources indicated for initial and continuing teacher training and the Science and Biology Education that contemplate the Special Education Target Audience (PAEE), with emphasis on visually impaired people. The methodological path, qualitative-quantitative, comprised a State of Knowledge with a theoretical, bibliographical and documental nature, in which 11 papers were catalogued, nine of them in Science, one in Biology and one in Science/Biology, corresponding to eight academic Master's dissertations, two professional Master's dissertations and a doctoral thesis, categorized according to specific descriptors that guide the knowledge of the productions. The results point to the need to expand research on the subject, because the studies, although they contemplate the urgency of the discussion, are still few if we consider the period analyzed, the educational policies of inclusion in Brazil, the relevance for teacher training, and the formative deficit in knowledge and approaches on the subject.
