Resumo: | Social Impact Initiatives (SII) can be organizations, programs or projects that aim to promotepositive social impact through significant change in society. However, despite the positiveexpectation of results, negative effects may occur. Therefore, it is crucial that SII adoptImpact Assessment Methodologies (IMA) in order to measure and understand the realeffect of their efforts. Several IMA are available, but there is a lack of mechanisms to helpthe processes of identification and selection of the most appropriates. This articlecontributes to close this gap by proposing a structure that guides the selection of IMA.Eleven IMA were selected by bibliographic research and SII consulting. Using thedimensions: type of methodology (structural or operational) and type of SII (governmentalorganizations, companies, businesses with social impact and non-governmentalorganizations); we proposed a flowchart that guides the selection of IMA, adjusted after useand feedback from SII’s executives. |

Porém, apesar da expectativa positiva de resultados, efeitos negativos podem ocorrer. É crucial, portanto, a adoção de Metodologias de Avaliação de Impacto (MAI) pelas IIS para mensurar e compreender o efeito real de seus esforços. Diversas MAI estão disponíveis mas, faltam mecanismos que auxiliem a identificação e seleção da(s) mais adequada(s). Este trabalho contribui para fechar essa lacuna de conhecimento ao propor estrutura que orienta a seleção de MAI. São onze MAI selecionadas por pesquisa bibliográfica e consulta a IIS. Usando as dimensões: tipo de metodologia (estrutural ou operacional) e tipo de IIS (organizações governamentais, empresas, negócios com impacto social e organizações não governamentais); propusemos fluxograma que guia a seleção de MAI, ajustado após uso e feedback de responsáveis por IIS.
