Study of the demands presents in the questions proposed by the students of the elementary school about the subject food

Resumo: This paper reports a study, whose aim is to understand the interests of students of Elementary School present in questions proposed about the theme "Food" for the constitution of a Learning Unit. Twenty students from the 9th grade of elementary school participated in this study. Participated of investigation nine girls and 11 boys of a public school in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul, with a mean age of 14 years. After the Science teacher briefly explained about the importance of food for the body, was request to students the proposition the questions related to doubts, curiosities and interests on the subject "Foods". Thus, 93 questions were obtained, which were treated through Discursive Textual Analysis. This analysis gave rise to three emerging categories: composition and functioning of foods; benefits of foods and damage of the foods. The contents of these categories are explained and analyzed in this article.

The contents of these categories are explained and analyzed in this article.O presente artigo relata estudo, cujo objetivo é compreender os interesses de estudantes do Ensino Fundamental manifestos em perguntas propostas sobre o tema “Alimentos” para a constituição de uma Unidade de Aprendizagem. Participaram deste estudo 20 estudantes de 9º ano do Ensino Fundamental, de uma escola pública do interior do Rio Grande do Sul, que era constituído de nove meninas e 11 meninos, como idade média de 14 anos. Após a professora de Ciências explanar brevemente sobre a importância dos alimentos para o nosso organismo, foi solicitado aos estudantes a proposição de perguntas relacionadas à dúvidas, curiosidades e interesses sobre o tema. Desse modo, foram obtidas 93 perguntas, as quais foram tratadas por meio da Análise Textual Discursiva, que deu origem a três categorias emergentes: composição e funcionamento dos alimentos; benefícios dos alimentos e prejuízos dos alimentos.
