Resumo: OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the prevalence and factors associated with Burnout Syndrome and quality of life at work of Primary Health Care professionals.METHODS: This is a cross-sectional study, conducted with 520 professionals from health units in a city in the interior of the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The Quality of Life at Work was assessed based on the “Quality of Working Life Questionnaire” and the Burnout Syndrome based on the “Maslach Burnout Inventary”. Descriptive and bivariate analyzes of the dependent and independent variables were performed, followed by logistic regression with the variables that presented p-value <0.20. A significance level of 5% was adopted.RESULTS: Most professionals were female, nursing assistants / technicians, with a workload of 40 hours per week. As for the Burnout Syndrome, 57.7% of the professionals were exhausted and 49.2% considered their overall Quality of Life at Work to be low. An association was identified between function, health perception, and Quality of Life at Work.CONCLUSIONS: There was a prevalence of Burnout Syndrome and it was high, especially among administrative and medical functions. Professional Burnout was associated with function, health perception and Quality of Life at Work.

Professional Burnout was associated with function, health perception and Quality of Life at Work.OBJETIVO: Avaliar a prevalência e os fatores associados à Síndrome de Burnout e à qualidade de vida no trabalho de profissionais da Atenção Primária à Saúde de uma cidade do interior do estado de São Paulo.MÉTODOS: Trata-se de um estudo transversal, conduzido com 520 profissionais de unidades de saúde de um município do interior do estado de São Paulo, Brasil. A qualidade de vida no trabalho foi avaliada a partir do instrumento Quality of Working Life Questionnaire e a Síndrome de Burnout a partir do instrumento Maslach Burnout Inventary. Foram realizadas análises descritivas e bivariadas das variáveis dependentes e independentes e, em seguida, regressão logística com as variáveis que apresentaram p<0,20. Adotou-se nível de significância de 5%.RESULTADOS: A maioria dos profissionais era do gênero feminino, auxiliar/técnico de enfermagem, com carga horária de 40 horas semanais. Quanto à Síndrome de Burnout, 57,7% dos profissionais apresentaram esgotamento e 49,2% consideraram sua qualidade de vida no trabalho global como baixa. Identificou-se associação entre função e percepção de saúde, com qualidade de vida no trabalho.CONCLUSÕES: Houve prevalência de Síndrome de Burnout e esta foi elevada, principalmente entre as funções administrativa e médicos.
