Resumo: In recent years there has been a significant increase in students who have some educational need for permanent and / or temporary in higher education. Among these students that work out students deaf users of sign language, and especially the role of sign language interpreters in the higher education context. Thus aims of this research was to analyze the Libras interpreters vision who work in higher education about their training, their roles and practices that educational level. The methodology used in this study is a qualitative and quantitative nature and was based on content analysis. Data collection was conducted through a questionnaire composed of open and closed questions, answered by Libras interpreters working in Brazilian higher education, about his role in higher education and its role as interpreter. The focus of the research is descriptive and exploratory, since the selected instrument allowed us to understand how these professionals perceive their working conditions at university. Through this work it was revealed that these professionals are in the process of construction of the senses and meanings of its interpretative acts and that by doing so can play their role in this knowledge of the deaf academic. For this to happen more effectively, we need the interpreter to assume a responsive front posture teachers with acting and become partners and accomplices in learning educational journey.

Dentre esses alunos esse trabalho destaca os alunos surdos usuários da língua de sinais, e especialmente a atuação dos intérpretes da língua de sinais no contexto do ensino superior. Assim pretende-se com esta pesquisa analisar a visão de intérpretes de Libras que atuam no ensino superior a respeito da sua formação, suas atribuições e práticas nesse nível de ensino. A metodologia adotada neste estudo é de cunho qualitativo e quantitativo e baseou-se na análise de conteúdo. A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio de um questionário, composto de questões abertas e fechadas, respondidas por intérpretes de Libras atuantes no ensino superior brasileiro, a respeito de sua atuação no ensino superior e de seu papel enquanto intérprete. O foco da pesquisa é descritivo e exploratório, uma vez que o instrumento selecionado possibilitou a compreensão de como esses profissionais percebem suas condições de trabalho na universidade. Por meio desse trabalho foi possível perceber que esses profissionais encontram-se em pleno processo de construção dos sentidos e significados de seus atos interpretativos e que ao fazer isso podem desempenhar o seu papel nesta construção do saber do acadêmico surdo.
