Resumo: | The present work mainly aims to accomplish a genealogical study on lifeconcept under the thought of french philosopher Michel Foucault. The idea of this articleis to cast a look at Natural Sciense and Biology textbooks ever seeking to observe how lifeis treated and teached while fundamental concept of that disciplines. Therefore thegenealogy will make use of precedent events taking aim to discover what possibilityconditions made which in transition from classic episteme to modern one, the concept of lifewould be conceived to designate no more hardly "the" being, or "a" being in question. Thepurpose is to understand how the concept of life, in that transition, abandons its singularsense and pluralizes itself acquiring the capacity of enclosing in the classification of alive anensemble of beings with common characteristics which answer (up to a certain point) in avery similar way to a series of environmental stimulus and end to connect not only amongitselves, but with the element where occur thus making sure the continuity of theirexistence. |
