Resumo: This study intends to analyze how public opinion may vary ethos spokesman. Takes up by base the plot and filmic work excerpts from the mad city (1997) and trace a parallel between two journalists, with distinct profiles. The rationale is through authors like aristotle (2005), amossy (2005), maingueneau (2006), for example, to treat the ethos; and curado (2002), guareschi (2007), berger (2002) among others, to approach concepts of journalism, public and cinema. The final, it is considered that the public (audience) it conducted by the ethos of the most respected journalist, ethos this, has done, built, has observed and evaluated, even if not check with the conduct of "owner"

Toma-se por base o enredo e trechos da obra fílmica o quarto poder (1997) e traça-se um paralelo entre dois profissionais do jornalismo, com perfis distintos. A fundamentação se dá por meio de autores como aristóteles (2005), amossy (2005), maingueneau (2006), por exemplo, para tratar de ethos; e curado (2002), guareschi (2007), berger (2002) entre outros, para abordar conceitos de jornalismo, público e cinema.
