Resumo: This article intends to bring a contribution for the education field throughof a reflection about the implications and possibilities of the use of the virtualcommunities' site (on-line social net) Orkut as an extension of the classroom, especially ofdebates. Without it is like this necessary to have that "educate" the tool. With that, it is lookfor to throw a glance on Orkut as an extension tool and of aid in the process of teachinglearning.Helping to diffuse concepts so in rowing as permanent education, autonomy,initiative, colaborationism, "free culture" and respect to the differences. Reminding that"learning" doesn't contain in spaces out of the classroom, it doesn't have ending. But forthat it is need to know the students, before we establish "virtual" teaching methodologiesand we worry in to put in context what we want to approach in a realistic way.

Sem que assim seja necessário ter que “escolarizar” a ferramenta.Com isso, busca-se lançar um olhar sobre o Orkut como uma ferramenta de extensão e deauxílio no processo de ensino-aprendizagem. Ajudando a difundir conceitos tão em vogacomo educação permanente, autonomia, iniciativa, colaboracionismo, “cultura livre” erespeito às diferenças. Lembrando que o “aprender” não se encerra nos espaços fora dasala de aula, ele não tem fim.
