ANALYSIS OF SOME CASES OF TOPICS IN MANY GENRES PRODUCED IN PORTUGUESE LANGUAGE

 The principal objective of this work is to present and to analyze some cases of structures put on the left, in the foreground - also nominated here of structures "topicalizadas" or simply topics – in texts of the journalistic, publicity and daily spheres, written and oral types. To realize this work, it interests us the notions of phrasal topic and discursive topic discussed by Pontes (1986; 1987). We use also the discussion about constituent on the left, presented by Pezatti (2001). For him, topics would have the pragmatic function to orientate, in other words, to help the listener/reader in the necessary identification of the coordinates to support the content of the proposition in relation to person, space, time, or other circumstances. We believe that the "topicalização" is an argumentative strategy and, it is used in different persistence, which would justify the presence of texts of different discursive spheres in our cases.
