BRAZILIAN HISTORY BOOK AND PARAGUAYAN HISTORY BOOK: LINGUISTIC ANALYSIS ABOUT THE PRESENTATION OF EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS

Resumo: | This article focuses on the notion of presupposition contained in the presentation of the paraguayan book Nuestra America, and in the brazilian book História Hoje, used in the 6th grade of primary school. It starts with the assumption that information is assumed to mean more than the explicit content, which might sound obvious, but is not configured as an exercise in reading survey. The objective is, from the linguistic content, observe how the authors of these publications construct conceptions about history and the profile of their own textbook. It is considered that the paraguayan material is more directive, while the brazilian is based on a broader perspective. The analysis is guided mainly on Ducrot (1972, 1987). |

Parte-se da hipótese de que informações pressupostas constituem significado a mais do que o conteúdo explícito, o que poderia soar óbvio, porém não se configura como um exercício de sondagem de leitura. Objetiva-se, a partir da análise linguística, observar como os autores dessas publicações pedagógicas constroem concepções acerca da área de História e o perfil do próprio livro didático. Considera-se que o material paraguaio possui um caráter diretivo, enquanto o brasileiro baseia-se numa perspectiva mais ampla.
