The Functional Restoration of Highways deals with improvements directed to the pavement of the pavement aiming at restoration of rolling in safe conditions. In this theme, the present work presents an evaluation of the functional recovery solution applied to Highway SC-406, located in the Municipality of Florianópolis, the stretch between Morro das Pedras - Pântano do Sul, which is part of the lots served by the revitalization program of paved highways in Santa Catarina state. The defects in the pavement were raised by the State Department of Infrastructure - DEINFRA and, from them, the Organ itself elaborated the revitalization project, whose services were executed in the year 2016. The technical solution executed by DEINFRA involved milling of cracked areas, patches deep localized and micro cold asphalt coating. The micro asphalt cold coating is a very applied procedure in order to provide the pavement with a layer of cracks inhibiting sealing, waterproofing, rejuvenation, and increase adhesion of the vehicles in contact with the track, thus guaranteeing the functional performance of the highway. In view of the pre-existing surface conditions (registry of the defects before revitalization) and the functional recovery solution applied, this work tries to evaluate the compatibility of the solution adopted by DEINFRA against the previously existing defects, comparing with other solutions that could have been applied to the registered defect base. The comparative analysis addresses only the paving services group for budgeting purposes. The evaluation of the compatibility of the solution applied in relation to the typology of pre-existing defects was carried out from an inventory of the current conditions, in which it was sought to verify the occurrence of recurrence of pathologies. As a result, it has been shown that the solution applied by DEINFRA is compatible with other possible solutions to pre-existing defects, and has been shown to be more economically attractive.
