Resumo: The expansion of the maritime transport segment in the last decades led to an immediate need for knowledge of the means of deterioration of concrete in order to understand the way in which constructions in marine environments will behave. Thus, this research aimed to investigate the main pathological manifestations present in Dock 1 of the Port of Imbituba / SC, through the analysis and formulation of diagnosis. For this, an investigation was structured in two stages. The preliminary investigation was an introductory study and was based on the method of visual analysis, characterized by visits to the study site, data collection and photographic records. The in-depth investigation, in turn, sought to complement the first and counted the directional tests, tests for evaluating the useful life indicators and mechanical properties of concrete. The results of the first stage showed that the pathological manifestation most present in the structure under study was the corrosion of the reinforcement. The second step, consequently, made it possible to infer that the structure is in an extremely advanced state of deterioration, considering that the test results showed high proportions of corrosion in several tests carried out, depths of carbonation and increasing chlorides, and mechanical properties such as unsatisfactory tensile strength and modulus of elasticity.

Assim, esta pesquisa teve como objetivo investigar as principais manifestações patológicas presentes no Cais 1 do Porto de Imbituba/SC, através da análise e formulação de diagnóstico. Para isso, foi estruturada uma investigação em duas etapas. A investigação preliminar se tratou de um estudo introdutório e se baseou no método da análise visual, caracterizado por visitas ao local de estudo, coleta de dados e registros fotográficos. A investigação profunda, por sua vez, buscou complementar a primeira e contou os ensaios direcionais, ensaios de avaliação dos indicadores de vida útil e de propriedades mecânicas do concreto. Os resultados da primeira etapa mostraram que a manifestação patológica mais presente na estrutura em estudo era a corrosão das armaduras.
