The present work of conclusion of course is about the domestic and familiar violence against the woman. It aims to unveil the main characteristics and consequences of violence against women in the domestic and family environment. As a methodology, bibliographical and documentary research was used to collect the data. Based on the information obtained, it was concluded that a violent relationship has devastating consequences to the physical and mental health of women and that the topic of domestic violence and the Maria da Penha Law should always be debated, since it has been found that it is still domestic violence and family violence to be eradicated worldwide. The issue of domestic violence against women seems to be very cliché, but there is still much to be addressed, as statistical data continues to grow. More effective solutions should be sought to mitigate or eliminate this problem.
