Airport infrastructure is characterized as a relevant complex for the proper functioning of civil aviation. Due to the concession of airports as a measure installed by the government in recent years, Fraport Brazil bought the Pinto Martins International Airport, the largest airport complex in the State of Ceará, located in the capital. This work aimed to demonstrate and analyze the recent development, mainly from the employees' point of view, but also contributing from the passenger perspective, in addition to suggesting measures to improve the efficiency and operational safety of Fortaleza Airport. It is characterized as an exploratory research based on bibliographic studies through documents, scientific articles, reports, regulations and laws. A field research with a qualitative and quantitative approach was also carried out among people who work at the airport, seeking to understand the specific reality of the activities of this group. The analysis of the data was made through the theoretical foundation and the evaluation of the data collected in the field study, comparing several aspects and showing opinions through figures, graphs, tables and photos. At the end of the research, the most relevant conclusions demonstrated that the massive investments in infrastructure are effectively taking Pinto Martins Airport to high technological levels and a significant increase in the capacity to process passengers per year, encouraging the interest of international airlines in operating on site and consequently bringing more development to the region. In general, the survey also revealed a satisfactory place to work in the view of employees, where a population focused on performing airport activities with safety and efficiency is perceived.
