Resumo: | It is unfortunate that there is still a fragmented view of the Arts and Sciences, especially as regards, for example, the Environmental Education. I wish, with this work, to cooperate to reduce, in part, the existing dichotomy between Art/Science and Human/Nature, dialoguing with the films of Don Bluth. I set the following objectives for this study: to recognize and systematize sensitizer elements, as well as provide subsidies for the use of animations for the educational process in Environmental Education, from the interpretation of the perception of students in two productions of Don Bluth. The definition for the use of Bluth¿s work was given because his productions possess unique characteristics that differ from those of his competitors, and whose theme can provide environmental reflections, beginning with the fact that their characters are, in most cases, animal anthropomorphic forms. For the construction of the theoretical framework, I have relied on authors in the field of Education/Environmental Education and/or Social Sciences. The research, based on qualitative fundamentals of phenomenological descriptive kind, has as its perspective Merleau-Ponty¿s phenomenology of perception. The demarcation of the films to be used in the research was given by a timeline study produced with the filmography of Don Bluth Productions: his first animation, ¿A Ratinha Valente (1982), and an animation of the 90s: "Chantecler, O Rei do Rock" (1991).The two films were shown to a group of 20 students of the School of Basic Education Stanislau Gaidzinski Filho (Capivari de Baixo - SC), to understand how these students are affected (or not) for such animations. For the search of information, the two film screenings were recorded by shooting and observation forms, and groups of conversation with students. The dialogues were transcribed and interpreted in the light of awareness in four levels: audiovisual aspects; impressions of the film; relation between children and the movies; relationswith the Environmental Education. After this process, the films were also analyzed and were selected the scenes or situations in which I consider the existence or potential sensitizer elements in Environmental Education. Among the results, the research allows us to understand various aspects of perception of children about the educational process with films in the classroom, such as: the clarity that the animation film is employed from well-defined objectives; a thought-provoking work that aims an critical, transformative and emancipatory Environmental Education in order to contribute to the formation of subjects as transforming agents of their reality; preparation/creation/adaptation of physical spaces compatible with the needs of children by ensuring a pleasant and comfortable environment for participants; the necessary reflection on what are "values" and its importance;the need for the/teacher/to be aware of the potential offered by the animation film for environmental education. The use of this feature also requires consistent and careful planning of the lesson, the theoretical-methodological and epistemological force about sensitizer process that is aimed to uncover. But above all, with the attentive and careful look of those who seek a strong and loving education. |

The use of this feature also requires consistent and careful planning of the lesson, the theoretical-methodological and epistemological force about sensitizer process that is aimed to uncover. But above all, with the attentive and careful look of those who seek a strong and loving education.É lamentável que ainda exista uma visão fragmentada entre as Artes e as Ciências, principalmente no que se refere, por exemplo, à Educação Ambiental.
