The present work in Civil Engineering aims to present a proposal for reform and sustainable revitalization to the building CETTAL/G (Campus Tubarão), in the Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina. The building’s reform for this institution is necessary due to the adaption of the physical environment to the parameters of sustainable construction, which is a process of high relevance to the academic environment. The literature review based on current norms, as well as the documental research and data collection through interviews with managers, students and professors were fundamental to characterize the specific needs of users and obtain architectural constraints to elaborate this project. Therefore, the proposal purpose to present from an architectural project, with emphasis on sustainability, suggestions for physical improvement of CETTAL building, considering the technical availability to implement the proposed items. Through the suggested changes in this project, in addition to guaranteeing users confort on the thermic, lumic and acoustic sphere, the sustainable elements appointed will contribute to reduce the consumption of resources and the cost of use, providing greater quality and value added to the building. As an additional benefit to the university, the sustainable reform project will provide a breakthrough in the image of the Institution to the community, due to the ecological nature of physical facilities, allowing the sustainable development of activities and combining theory and practice.
