This monograph deals with Law 11.340 / 2006, known as the Maria da Penha Law and has been in force since September 22, 2006, demonstrating a historical context of said law. Demonstrate the struggle of women in the world for rights and the recognition of these rights in Brazil, at which stage the concept and types of domestic violence described in the law are exposed. It will be demonstrated the indispensability of representation of the victim in crimes of domestic violence, transcribing on Law 11.340 / 06. In this sense, this work intends to know more specifically the urgent protective measures dictated by the Maria da Penha Law, addressing the obligation of the aggressor, the offended and the preventive custody. This work will also bring the use of the panic button, as a tool to ensure the protection of victims. To this end, it established the objective of the work: to verify, under the light of the doctrine, the effectiveness of the urgent protective measures provided for in the Maria da Penha Law. This research used a bibliographical research technique to collect data.
