Resumo: Financial Education is the key to obtaining a better quality of life by learning to have control of your finances and consume more consciously. The main objective of this work was to present the concept of Financial Education in a specific way in the scope of the child and adolescent, general characteristics of this subject, the importance of Financial Education in the life of each citizen, the benefits of having habits and conscious consumption, as the subject has been presented in official documents such as COREMEC, ENEF and BNCC, and finally how it should be worked inside the classroom since Elementary School. It was carried out from bibliographic research in books/articles that revealed how important it is to have knowledge on the subject and start working on it since the early years of the citizen's social life, since Elementary School.

O presente trabalho teve como objetivo principal apresentar o conceito de Educação Financeira, em específico no âmbito da criança e adolescente, características gerais desse tema, qual a importância da Educação Financeira na vida de cada cidadão, os benefícios de ter hábitos e consumos conscientes, como o tema vem sendo apresentado em documentos oficiais como a COREMEC, ENEF e BNCC, e, por fim, como deve ser trabalhado na sala de aula desde o Ensino Fundamental.
