Resumo: | Distance learning is growing every day. It is gaining more space and respect in the educational scenario. By joining actors who are geographically separated through the information technology and communication, distance learning has been placed at the forefront of the teaching-learning process. The contemporary society produces an infinite amount of images on daily basis and it is increasingly based on that every day imagery production. In Distance Learning, TIC support education through virtual learning spaces, they create the possibility of interaction and interactivity by intensive teleconference, videoconference, multimedia operating systems and they also show internet videos more frequently. This research, identify the audiovisual production performed within Distance Learning, in their generations and, especially, in the fourth generation online environment. The educational process, despite all of the advances and new educational theories, is still strongly rooted in the academic text. Due to the students’ requests, Distance Education Institutions are increasingly offering audiovisual integration in their teaching strategies, through synchronous and asynchronous activities. This monograph examines, through qualitative research, the students´commentation from the undergraduation course in Technology about Technology Management at the Virtual Unisul, 2010. It started from the institutional self-assessment (IS) under the use of images requested by the students and the available videos at the virtual rooms in the Virtual Learning Space (VLS). The investigation on how the audiovisual might contribute to DL also seeks to bring some viable and practical genera for distance learning institutions and contribute to better explore their potential. Picture and sound along with narrative strategies that blend TV and movies techniques are exponentially powerful, but, they must fit the narrative time needed for learning and the conditions that Internet allows to the students. A major challenge for distance education is to find out its own visual language, in order to use other styles without reproducing them. |

Ao unir atores separados geograficamente pelas tecnologias da informação e da comunicação a EaD tem se colocado na vanguarda no processo de ensino-aprendizagem. A sociedade contemporânea produz uma quantidade infinita de imagens diariamente e está cada vez mais assentada nesta produção cotidiana imagética. Na EaD as TICs dão suporte ao ensino através de espaços virtuais de aprendizagem, criam a possibilidade de interação e interatividade pelo uso intensivo tele e videoconferências, exploram os sistemas multimídias e apresentam vídeos com maior freqüência na internet. Esta pesquisa identifica a produção audiovisual realizada dentro da EaD em suas gerações e principalmente no ambiente online da quarta geração. O processo educativo, porém apesar de todos os avanços e de novas teorias educativas, está ainda enraizado fortemente no texto acadêmico. Os alunos solicitam e as instituições de EaD cada vez mais oferecem integração audiovisual em suas estratégias pedagógicas através de atividades síncronas e assíncronas. Esta monografia analisa por meio de pesquisa qualitativa os comentários realizados pelos alunos do Curso Superior de Tecnologia em Gestão da Tecnologia da UnisulVirtual no semestre de 2010-, a partir da autoavaliação institucional (AAI), sob perspectiva do uso da imagem solicitada pelos educados a partir dos vídeos disponibilizados nas salas virtuais do Espaço Virtual de Aprendizagem (EVA). A investigação sobre a Contribuição da produção audiovisual na EaD procura também trazer alguns gêneros viáveis e práticos às instituições de ensino à distância e colaborar para que se explore melhor seu potencial. Imagem e som em movimento com estratégias narrativas que misturem técnicas de cinema e TV são exponencialmente poderosas, mas devem se adequar ao tempo narrativo necessário ao aprendizado e as condições que a internet possibilita ao aluno na outra ponta.
