In 2020, women make up more than half of Brazilian population. However, the number of places they occupy in politics reaches only about 12%. In addition to the data not expressing a significant representation, there is still the problem that, by reaching public life charges, these women face a predominantly conservative place that tries to inhibit and delegitimize them or even push them back to the private scope. Denial on the part of those who don’t want them in power has gained strength, mainly after the last presidential election, leading us to ask what is the reason that this sexist speech has taken place, regularly and with strength, the public space? This reason leads us to analyze how the place occupied by the woman in public is reconfigured, given the current political context where she faces a macho speech trying to push her back to the private space. To this end, the research is going to be supported by the theoretical assumptions of the Discourse Analysis of the materialistic line, by working with the relationship between language and the world-ideology-subject, as well as the feminist theory, which can help us to think the challenges that women has faced and is still facing Fighting for their rights. For the purpose, the corpus of the monography will be composed of: 1) Speeches given in the political scenario on the last two years that have disrespected the role of women in the public life; 2) two interviews with women that occupy political charges, in order to understand the challenges and difficulties they face in the public sphere
