Resumo: The object of study of this monograph deals with the (im) possibility of existence of the employment bond between the Uber application and the drivers. Technological innovation with regard to individual private transport has led to many questions and conflicts. The Uber application was introduced in the national territory in the year 2014 and in principle, the drivers were denominated like autonomous workers. However, after discussions on the subject, it was not possible to state clearly whether the drivers are self-employed or employed workers, since in the relationship there are some indispensable requirements in the employment relationship. This controversy led to the elaboration of this academic work.

O aplicativo Uber foi instaurado em território nacional no ano de 2014 e a princípio, os motoristas foram denominados como trabalhadores autônomos. Entretanto, após discussões a respeito do tema, não é possível afirmar com clareza se os motoristas são trabalhadores autônomos ou empregados, uma vez que na relação estão presentes alguns requisitos indispensáveis no vínculo empregatício.
