Analysis and reduction of Lead Time in a clothing industry

Resumo: | This scientific article, has applied nature and aimed to implement lean manufacturing philosophy tools in a clothing industry. The purpose of these actions was to reduce the lead time, since the company had been facing problems with delays in the delivery of orders. The method applied to guide the research was the hypothetical-deductive one, allied to the action research approach. The results obtained were satisfactory. There was a reduction of 82.85% in the delivery time of orders to customers, greater organization of processes and team involvement in decision making. At the end of the research, it was concluded that lean tools provided positive results for the organization. |

O propósito destas ações foi reduzir o lead time, visto que a empresa vinha enfrentando problemas com atrasos na entrega das encomendas. O método aplicado para guiar a pesquisa foi o hipotético-dedutivo, aliado a abordagem de pesquisa-ação. A partir disso, os resultados obtidos foram satisfatórios. Obteve-se uma redução de 82,85% do tempo de entrega dos pedidos aos clientes, maior organização dos processos e envolvimento da equipe na tomada de decisões.
