The goal of this paper is to survey and organize information through of a systematic literature review about publications that deal with supply chain in Brazilian public sector. Considering that the budget of Public Institutions of Higher Education in Brazil is not sufficient to cover the development of all fields of research that their researchers can work, the need for innovation to keep public sector activities focused on the citizen, ensuring quality and the efficiency of public spending is of paramount importance. In this sense, it is essential to search for forms of management that contribute to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the public service, thus, Supply Chain Management can contribute to achieving this goal. This article researches Supply Chain Management in the Brazilian Public Sector among the main events and periodicals in the proposed field of research, compiling the data and revealing the state of the art on this theme, synthesizing which direction the studies point towards, as well as contributing new insights on the subject in order to provide the best level of evidence for decision-making. This research demonstrated the low incidence of studies in this area, which is justified by the fact that GCS is more used in the second sector, since its applications to the public sector require research and adaptations to reach the specificities of Public Administration.
