A3 Methodology: application, advantages, disadvantages and difficulties from the study in a paper factory

Resumo: | The continuous improvement process has been applied since the 1950s in several organizations in order to produce products and services with higher quality and lower cost. In this context, different methodologies and quality tools were created to support this process, among them, A3 Methodology stands out. This study brings an analysis of the application of A3 Methodology together with other quality tools in a paper factory aiming to reduce the average cost of producing the ton of paper and, from this application, it was raised the advantages, disadvantages and difficulties perceived with its adoption. As for the approach to the problem, a qualitative-quantitative research was used and the technical procedure adopted was action research. The study resulted in a set of corrective actions that generated savings of R$14.00 in the average cost of production a ton of paper and in the mapping of the main benefits and points to improve perceived during the application of A3 Methodology. |

Esta pesquisa traz uma análise da aplicação da Metodologia A3 em conjunto com outras ferramentas da qualidade em uma fábrica de papel visando a redução do custo médio da produção da tonelada de papele, a partir desta aplicação, foram levantadas as vantagens, desvantagens e dificuldades percebidas com a sua adoção. Quanto a forma de abordagem do problema, foi utilizado uma pesquisa qualitativa-quantitativa e o procedimento técnico adotado foi a pesquisa-ação.
