Resumo: The Covid-19 pandemic caused damage to the economy in several sectors around the world, among them, Tourism, as well as Hospitality were some of the most affected. The hotel sector resumed operations in full adaptation of safety and prevention protocols prepared by entities of the hotel sector, such as the Brazilian Association of the Hotel Industry - ABIH, Ministry of Tourism - MTur, Forum of Hotel Operators of Brazil - FOBH and others , based on recommendations made by the World Health Organization (WHO). The service delivery procedures needed to be reviewed and many adaptations were made, including prioritizing touchless services (no touch), in order to ensure the health of employees and customers. This work presents an overview of the difficulties faced by the hotel sector, as such difficulties have driven important innovations in procedures made possible by the use of technologies in the provision of hotel services, which vehemently try to balance hospitality and safety, in regaining the trust of customers in this new scenario.
