A hospitalidade em Brumadinho-MG: uma análise do Instituto Inhotim

The tourism industry plays an important role in the world economic outlook, as well as an influence on the social development of a tourist resort, appropriating the social and cultural aspects of the host community for the practice of tourism. By analyzing the phenomenon of travel, it is essential to discuss the relationship between hospitality and community, where hospitality can be perceived as a tourism product of the input of a locality. Considering these factors, this dissertation aims to present the results of literature surveys and discuss the observations made in situ on the current tourism scenario of the study of this research object, the municipality of Brumadinho Minas Gerais, located 60 km from the capital Belo Horizonte, where It will analyze the Inhotim Institute, as the main inducer cultural equipment of tourism in the municipality. Through this analysis it questions the role of the Inhotim Institute in existing hospitality relations in Brumadinho? The methodology applied was exploratory and descriptive character, using a qualitative approach based on three guiding principles: hospitality, services and tourism in order to check whether a cultural facility can influence the growth of the hospitality of a locality. From these questions, there was, above all, the opening of the Inhotim Institute influenced the growth of tourism in Brumadinho, however, as a recent activity, local people do not see inserted in this new social context, which directly impacts in relations of hospitality between the community and visitors, and between the community and the museum.
