Resumo: The purpose of this work is to analyze the argumentative strategies developed through intertextuality in tweets published by the official Twitter account of the reality show Big Brother Brasil. For this purpose, we articulate a theoretical framework that brings together reflections from the Theory of Argumentation in Discourse (AMOSSY, 2018; 2020), Digital Discourse Analysis (PAVEAU, 2021), and Text Linguistics, mainly with regard to the studies on strict and broad intertextualities (CARVALHO, 2018; CAVALCANTE; CARVALHO; FARIA, 2017). The corpus of our investigation consists of 27 tweets published in the early hours of January 19, 2023, in the Twitter profile of the reality show Big Brother Brasil. For methodological reasons, we will focus, in this work, on the analysis of 4 tweets, which illustrate the most recurrent intertextual-based persuasion strategies. A close examination of the data revealed that the profile makes use of (techno)language practices and tools from the digital environment, articulating those with other texts that circulate in the same space, with the purpose of persuading Twitter users to engage with publications about the reality show.
