Resumo: This article address the possible dialogue between documentary and pornography based upon the idea that both domains mobilize desires and knowledge. Hence, we take the concept of excess as a key element that drives the desire to know and to see that is mobilized in the Tony Comstock series' Real People, Real Life, Real Sex. The films alternate between the documentarian and pornographic traditions thus promising to present to the public view the intimacy aspects of its characters, aspects that are performed in interviews and in sexual numbers. I would like to argue that these films are linked to the contemporary moral and its "other-directed" subjectivity that is sustained by the speech and sexual performances directed to public gaze of the cinematic apparatus. Therefore, the notion of real that is associated with an excess of visibility is reaffirm as commodity and ad source of visual and voyeuristic pleasure.

En ese sentido trabajaremos la noción de exceso como movilizador de deseos de saber y de ver que se articulan en la serie Real people, Real life, Real sex del realizador Tony Comstock. Las películas alternan las tradiciones del documental y la pornografía en una promesa de presentación para la mirada pública de la intimidad de sus personajes, interpretada a partir de diálogos y números sexuales. Argumentamos que tales películas están en consonancia con la moral contemporánea marcada por una subjetividad alter-dirigida que se sustenta en las performances de habla y de sexo dirigidas a la mirada pública del aparato cinematográfico. En ese sentido, la idea de un real asociado al exceso de visibilidad es reafirmada como commodity y como fuente de placer visual y voyeurístico.Este artigo reflete sobre os diálogos possíveis entre o documentário e a pornografia partindo da ideia de mobilização de desejos e saberes presentes em ambos os domínios. Nesse sentido, trabalharemos a noção de excesso como mobilizador de desejos de saber e de ver que se articulam na série Real People, Real Life, Real Sex do realizador Tony Comstock. Os filmes alternam as tradições do documentário e da pornografia numa promessa de apresentação ao olhar público da intimidade dos seus personagens, performada a partir de falas e números sexuais. Argumentamos que tais filmes estão consonantes com a moral contemporânea marcada por uma subjetividade alter-dirigida que se sustenta nas performances de fala e de sexo dirigidas ao olhar público do aparato cinematográfico.
