Resumo: This essay discusses the subject of erasure attributed to the historical facts and the Black people enslaved in Brazil with the objective of reviewing consecrated and officialized formulations. Thus, the study is guided by the critical metalanguage method to scrutinize the relevance of concepts to a given historical context. Taking the notion of palimpsest as a sort of revealing as the main hypothesis, it follows the historian Beatriz Nascimento, statements which inquires the conventional historical definitions, to reach the notion of quilombo as a form of historical review of Blackness as a human beeing. It opens, therefore, dialogues to the radical international Black thoughts, and with audiovisual features, to check the arguments.

Para ello, se orienta por el método del metalenguaje crítico, sometiendo conceptos al examen de la pertinencia a contextos históricos precisos. Como hipótesis, toma la noción del palimpsesto como revelación, siguiendo el pensamiento de la historiadora Beatriz Nascimento que, refutando definiciones históricas convencionales, llega a la concepción del palenque como forma de revisión histórica del negro como ser humano. Abre, así, diálogos con el pensamiento negro radical internacional y con medios audiovisuales para la verificación de los argumentos formulados.Este ensaio discute o tema do apagamento atribuído aos fatos históricos e aos negros escravizados no Brasil, com o objetivo de rever formulações consagradas e oficializadas. Para isso, orienta-se pelo método da metalinguagem crítica, submetendo conceitos ao exame da pertinência a contextos históricos precisos. Como hipótese, toma a noção de palimpsesto como revelação, acompanhando o pensamento da historiadora Beatriz Nascimento, que, contestando definições históricas convencionais, chega à concepção de quilombo como forma de revisão histórica do negro como ser humano.
