Resumo: This article aims to discuss ways of involving viewers in television programs that support the ideal of public debate in order to discuss the democratic role of television journalism that aims to fulfill. It discusses the centrality of conversation as a practice for training and public expression of the will in the perspectives and deliberacionistas republican democracy. It seeks to demonstrate, from the contribution of cultural studies, broadcast journalism that still presents itself with authoritarian and exclusive relationship to the insertion of the conversations made public at the scene.

Se discute el papel central de la conversación como una práctica para la formación y expresión pública de la voluntad en las perspectivas y la democracia deliberacionistas republicano. Se trata de demostrar, a partir de la contribución de los cultural studies, el periodismo televisivo que aún se presenta con relación autoritaria y excluyente a la inserción de las conversaciones del público en la escena.O presente artigo tem como objetivo discutir os modos de envolvimento dos telespectadores em programas televisivos que se sustentam no ideal da promoção de um debate público, a fim de problematizar o papel democrático que o telejornalismo pretende cumprir. Discute-se a centralidade da conversação como prática para formação e expressão da vontade pública nas perspectivas republicanas e deliberacionistas da democracia.
