Spatial dynamics in the center of Gramado (RS-Brazil): recognition of the economic agents involved in the transformations in the urban space of the tourist center

Resumo: Consolidated tourist destinations are often characterized by changes in their activities and businesses, in which local agents may find themselves displaced from their former functions due to investments of national and international scale. This study aims to recognize the existence of local entrepreneurs supporting tourism in the central area of Gramado (RS). This condition is necessary for tourism committed to local development in terms of social and economic aspects. As a methodological path, the origin of the establishments is identified and an association is made about their financial contribution through direct and indirect observation. The central tourist area of the city is adopted as a spatial feature. In this qualitative research, 294 functional units of this neuralgic point of tourist circulation are linearly identified. In the approach, the socio-spatial appropriation process is understood when contrasting the current owners with the previous ones and the occupation of the lots. The research also has documentary support (textual and photographic). It is observed the existence of a notable structure of tourism committed to local actors, although large capital is occasionally present in the studied area. A process of gentrification characterizes the issue of functionality and land dynamics with the tourist activity supplanting the previous ones.

Este estudio tiene como objetivo reconocer la existencia de emprendedores locales que dan soporte a la actividad turística en la zona central de Gramado (RS). Esta condición es necesaria para un turismo comprometido con el desarrollo local en términos sociales y económicos. Como ruta metodológica se identifica el origen de los establecimientos, haciendo una asociación sobre su aporte económico a través de la observación directa e indirecta. Se adopta como recorte espacial la zona turística central de la ciudad. En esta investigación cualitativa se identifican linealmente 294 unidades funcionales de este punto neurálgico de circulación turística. En este abordajese comprende el proceso de apropiación socioespacial al contrastar los propietarios actuales con los anteriores y la ocupación de los lotes. La investigación también cuenta con soporte documental (textual y fotográfico). Se observala existencia de una notable estructura de turismo comprometido con los actores locales, aunque ocasionalmente el gran capital está presente en el área estudiada. El tema de la funcionalidad y la dinámica del territorio se caracteriza por un proceso de gentrificación con la actividad turística suplantando a las anteriores. Os destinos turísticos consolidados muitas vezes caracterizam-se por mudanças de suas atividades e negócios, em que os agentes locais podem se ver deslocados de suas antigas funções em razão de investimentos de porte nacional e internacional. Este estudo objetiva reconhecer a existência de empreendedores locais dando suporte na atividade turística na área central de Gramado (RS). Esta condição faz-se necessária para um turismo comprometido com o desenvolvimento local quanto a aspectos social e econômico. Como percurso metodológico, identifica-se a origem dos estabelecimentos e faz-se uma associação acerca de seu aporte financeiro por meio de observação direta e indireta. Adota-se como recorte espacial a área central turística da cidade. Nesta pesquisa qualitativa, identificam-se linearmente 294 unidades funcionais deste ponto nevrálgico de circulação turística. Na abordagem compreende-se o processo de apropriação socioespacial ao contrastar os atuais proprietários com os anteriores e a ocupação dos lotes. A pesquisa também tem um suporte documental (textual e fotográfico). Observa-se a existência de uma estrutura marcante do turismo comprometido com os atores locais, embora o grande capital esteja pontualmente presente na área estudada. A questão de funcionalidade e a dinâmica fundiária caracterizam-se por um processo de gentrificação com a atividade turística suplantando as anteriores.
