Resumo: In this article, we reflect on the relationshipbetween History Teaching and DeafEducation, in an attempt to map thestate of the art. Through a literature reviewstudy, we consulted the Catálogo deTeses e Dissertações da CAPES, the BibliotecaDigital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertaçõesand the Google Scholar, platformsfor searching scientific works withopen access. In each database, wecrossed the descriptors “teaching”, “history”and “deafness” or “deaf” using theBoolean operator “AND”. Thus, weidentified eleven (11) dissertationswhose focus was on the History Teachingand Deaf Studies. The texts wereclassified into three categories that, ingeneral, showed difficulties related to theinitial and continuing teacher training,as well as the lack of knowledge aboutdeaf culture for an inclusive teaching ofHistory.
