The Odyssey: A Story of War and Love: Dialogues between Present and Past in a History Class

Resumo: The article analyzes a different lesson planin the context of my first-year, secondarylevel course. The first part briefly putsunder analysis the grounds of devoting aclass to narrate some fragments of The Odyssey,while the second focuses on the narrativeand indeed temporal interweavingthat crossed that lesson. The third part isdedicated to the various temporal imprintspresent both in my own narrative discourseas well as the students’, to finally involve thetemporal dimension of the present writingby analyzing the past –as lived and experienced– in a scenario that shares the publicand the personal and private spheres.

La primera parte pone brevemente bajo análisis los fundamentos de dedicar una clase a narrar algunos pasajes de La Odisea, mientras que la segunda hace foco en los entrelazamientos narrativos y de hecho temporales que atravesaron aquella clase.
