Trajetória e contribuições de Alfredina de Paiva e Souza (1905-1999) na educação brasileira

Resumo: Alfredina de Paiva e Souza (1905-1999) was a Brazilian educator whose name frequently appears in the historiography of education associated with her work in mathematics education at the Institute of Education in Rio de Janeiro and her pioneering role in teleducation. However, there is little information about her biography. In this sense, the present article aims to trace this teacher's trajectory, identify her contributions, geographical/institutional/thematic shifts, and relationship networks. We operate from the traces, following the thread of her name, based on Ginzburg and Poni, and with the notion of networks, presented by Fuchs. As a source, we mainly mobilize the journals available at the Brazilian Digital Hemerotheca to identify Alfredina de Paiva's displacements and her connections. We also made use of educational magazines, notary records, and educational manuals available in different collections. Among the results, we were able to trace the institutional links and different areas to which she dedicated herself during her trajectory, some little known or discussed, such as her work at the Brazilian Education Association, at the Paiva e Souza School, and her ties to Catholic groups.

Sin embargo, hay poca información sobre su biografía. En este sentido, el presente artículo tiene como objetivo rastrear la trayectoria de esta docente, identificar sus aportes, cambios geográficos /institucionales/temáticos y redes de relación. Operamos desde las huellas, siguiendo el hilo de su nombre, basado en Ginzburg y Poni, y con la noción de redes, presentada por Fuchs. Como fuente, movilizamos principalmente las revistas disponibles en la Hemeroteca Digital Brasileña para identificar los desplazamientos de Alfredina de Paiva y sus conexiones. También hicimos uso de revistas educativas, registros notariales y manuales educativos disponibles en diferentes colecciones. Entre los resultados, pudimos rastrear los vínculos institucionales y las diferentes áreas a las que se dedicó durante su trayectoria, algunas poco conocidas o discutidas, como su trabajo en la Asociación Brasileña de Educación, en la Escuela Paiva e Souza, y sus vínculos a grupos católicos.Alfredina de Paiva e Souza (1905-1999) foi uma educadora brasileira cujo nome aparece com frequência na historiografia da educação associado à sua atuação na educação matemática no Instituto de Educação do Rio de Janeiro e pelo seu pioneirismo na teleducação, apesar de haver poucas informações sobre sua biografia. Nesse sentido, o presente artigo tem como objetivo traçar a trajetória dessa professora, identificando suas contribuições, seus deslocamentos geográficos/institucionais/temáticos e suas redes de relação. Para tanto, operamos a partir dos vestígios, seguindo o fio de seu nome, com base em Ginzburg e Poni, além da noção de redes, apresentada por Fuchs. Enquanto fonte, mobilizamos principalmente os periódicos disponíveis na Hemeroteca Digital Brasileira como forma de identificar os deslocamentos de Alfredina de Paiva e suas conexões. Também fizemos uso de revistas pedagógicas, registros cartorários e manuais pedagógicos disponíveis em diferentes acervos.
