Resumo: | It is clear that education must perform its purposes based on four main learning types: learning to know, learning to do, learning to live together, and finally learn to be. Thus, the preintention is create autonomous, active intellectually and independent individuals, able to establish relationships, communicate with other people, and to evolve permanently. Beside this, these people should be capable of intervene in a conscious and proactive manner in society. This is not different on distance education, in which must to be total relation between pedagogic projects of courses and these learning bases. However, the way in which distance education is applied, as a new educational language, it is not able to reach all learning types or even possibly does not affect them most effectively. That is why is so important discuss and review some aspects that could help people that practice the distance learning actions to reach the excelence on use of this tools applied to distance education. This paper will discuss the relevance of some practical information that help application of this new educational language to all learning types. The discussion will be centered on aspects related to learning theories, technological instrumental and relationships and individual postures. Keywords: Distance education. Learning theories. Individual postures.Sabe-se que, para que a educação possa cumprir seus propósitos, deve basear-se em quatro modalidades de aprendizagem fundamentais: o aprender a conhecer, o aprender a fazer, o aprender a conviver e, finalmente, o aprender a ser. Com isso, pretende-se formar indivíduos autônomos, intelectualmente ativos e independentes, capazes de estabelecer relações interpessoais, de se comunicarem e evoluírem permanentemente, de intervirem de forma consciente e proativa na sociedade. Na educação à distância isso não é diferente, devendo haver total relação entre os projetos pedagógicos de curso e estes pilares da aprendizagem. Contudo, nos moldes em que normalmente é aplicada, a educação à distância, enquanto nova linguagem educacional, não atinge em sua plenitude todas as modalidades de aprendizagem ou, ainda, eventualmente, não as atinge do modo mais eficaz. Daí a importância de discutirem-se e revisarem-se alguns aspectos que possam auxiliar aqueles que põem em prática ações de educação à distância, objetivando-se o atingimento da excelência no uso das ferramentas aplicadas a esta modalidade de ensino. Neste trabalho se discutirá, em campo teórico, a relevância de alguns subsídios práticos que favoreçam a aplicação dessa nova linguagem educativa a todas as modalidades de aprendizagem, centrando-se a discussão em aspectos relativos às teorias de aprendizagem, ao instrumental tecnológico e às relações interpessoais e posturas individuais.
