Resumo: | This article is part of the result of the research "Policies for the Expansion of Distance Education (EaD) in Brazil: Regulation, Quality and Innovation in Question" (CNPq) which aims to analyze the current conceptions, dimensions and mechanisms of quality and innovation in the offer and expansion of distance education, considering its changes in trajectory, regulation, presence and action strategies of actors who work and deal with the modality. This study presents an excerpt of the research in which it seeks to analyze the concepts of quality present in works dealing with distance education contained in the Education Resources Information Center (ERIC) repository, between 2007 and 2019, through a qualitative data analysis approach, of the type bibliographical survey, complemented by documentary. The mapping showed that most of the studies surveyed presented a conception of quality aimed at accreditation, the market, the assessment and customer satisfaction from an economic perspective, as well as demonstrating the lack of studies on the quality of distance education within the scope of public policies that should involve the offer of the modality. Quality.O presente artigo é parte do resultado da pesquisa “Políticas de Expansão da Educação a Distância (EaD) no Brasil: Regulação, Qualidade e Inovação em Questão” (CNPq) que tem por objetivo analisar as concepções, dimensões e mecanismos de qualidade e inovação presentes na oferta e expansão da educação a distância, considerando suas mudanças de trajetória, regulamentação, presença e estratégias de atuação de atores que atuam e lidam com a modalidade. Este estudo apresenta um recorte da pesquisa em que busca analisar os conceitos de qualidade presentes nos trabalhos que tratam da educação a distância contidos no repositório Education Resources Information Center (ERIC), entre 2007 e 2019, mediante abordagem qualitativa de análise de dados, do tipo levantamento bibliográfico. O mapeamento evidenciou que a maioria dos trabalhos levantados apresentou concepção de qualidade voltada para a acreditação, para o mercado, para a avaliação e para a satisfação dos clientes numa perspectiva economicista, bem como demonstrou a lacuna de estudos sobre a qualidade da EaD no âmbito das políticas públicas que deveriam envolver a oferta da modalidade.
