Digital Literacy: Collaborative Forum on the Distance Education

Resumo: We experienced several changes in social, economic, cultural and educational relationships, coming from the use of Digital Information and Communication Technologies. Given this scenario, there is no way to avoid dealing with the subject, nor to avoid the paradigmatic changes caused by educational technologies, especially in distance education, given that this modality develops from and with Information and Communication Technologies. In this scenario, the research Digital Literacy in Distance Education emerged, which was developed in the Pedagogy course, from a university in northeastern Brazil. As a part of the study, this article intends to present the practices of Digital Literacy developed in a collaborative forum, in the component Profession Teacher, offered by the referred course. The investigation had a qualitative character with nuances of an ethnographic case study. For data collection, an immersion in the virtual learning environment - Moodle Mandacaru was carried out. The records made on the platform were used as a source, either in the participation of the forums or in the exchange of messages through the tools of interaction among the participants. It was possible to verify the presence of basic skills for digital literacy, such as research on the internet, critical assessment of content, hypertextual reading and construction of knowledge on the internet, in addition to encouraging interaction, collaboration, interactivity and autonomy, from the perspective of collaborative work. It was also found that digital literacy happens, mainly, when using innovative methodologies with the use of technologies.   Keywords: Distance education. Collaborative forum. Digital literacy.Vivenciamos diversas mudanças nas relações sociais, econômicas, culturais e educacionais, advindas do uso das Tecnologias Digitais da Informação e Comunicação. Diante desse cenário, não há como se eximir de tratar do assunto, nem se esquivar das mudanças paradigmáticas causadas pelas tecnologias educacionais, principalmente na educação a distância, haja vista essa modalidade se desenvolver a partir e com as Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação.  Neste contexto surgiu a pesquisa Letramento Digital na Educação a Distância, desenvolvida no curso de Pedagogia, de uma universidade do nordeste brasileiro. Como um recorte do estudo, pretende-se, neste artigo, apresentar as práticas de Letramento Digital desenvolvidas em um fórum colaborativo, no componente Profissão Docente, ofertado pelo referido curso. A investigação teve um cunho qualitativo com nuances de um estudo de caso etnográfico. Para a coleta dos dados, foi realizada uma imersão no ambiente virtual de aprendizagem - Moodle Mandacaru. Utilizou-se como fonte os registros realizados na plataforma, seja na participação dos fóruns ou na troca de mensagens por meio das ferramentas de interação entre os participantes. Foi possível verificar a presença das competências básicas para o letramento digital, como pesquisa na internet, avaliação crítica do conteúdo, leitura hipertextual e construção do conhecimento na internet. Além do incentivo a interação, a colaboração, a interatividade e a autonomia, na perspectiva de um trabalho colaborativo. Constatou-se, ainda, que o letramento digital acontece, principalmente, quando se utiliza de metodologias inovadoras com o uso de tecnologias. Palavras-chave: Educação a distância.
