Resumo: | This work is part of the master's research on " Intra-school factors and school performance: what makes the difference?" This text presents the data collected during the investigation show that the impact of the disclosure of the results of the Ideb on everyday life of a public school in Rio de Janeiro. Aiming to integrate quantitative data, brought by the statistics of external evaluations, with the qualitative data from school of everyday life, if adopted as methodology the ethnographic approach. The researcher remained immersed in the field for six months gathering data through participant observation, interviews with managers and teachers, and track the activities in the classroom and analyze documents from school. It was adopted as theoretical studies of the sociology school establishments, in addition to research on effective schools in Brazil, United States and England. It was possible to identify that data, collected through research of external evaluation are redirected within the school environment for their actors, but they nevertheless contribute to the understanding of the education system. It becomes evident that bringing the quantitative data with the point of view of the actors of the school community, one can understand the contributions of these two fields of research to reflect on the school and search for more quality. |

It becomes evident that bringing the quantitative data with the point of view of the actors of the school community, one can understand the contributions of these two fields of research to reflect on the school and search for more quality.Este trabajo es parte de una investigación de maestria sobre "Factores intraescolares y el desempeño escolar: ¿Que datos los distingue?” Se presentan los datos recogidos en ese trabajo y se muestra el impacto de la divulgacion de los resultados del Ideb (Indice de Desarrollo de Educacion Basica) sobre la vida cotidiana de una escuela pública en Rio de Janeiro. Con el objetivo de integrar datos cuantitativos, traidos por las estadisticas de las evaluaciones externas, con los datos cualitativos de la vida cotidiana escolar se adopto como metodologia un abordaje etnografico. El investigador permanecio inmerso en el campo durante seis meses recopilando datos a traves de la observacion participante y entrevistando gestores y profesores, ademas de observar y acompañar las actividades en el aula y analizar los documentos de la escuela. Se adoptaron como base teorica los estudios de la sociologia de establecimientos escolares, ademas de la investigación sobre escuelas eficaces en Brasil, Estados Unidos e Inglaterra. Se logro identificar que los datos, recogidos a traves de encuestas de evaluacion externa, se redirigen dentro del ambito escolar por sus actores, pero eso no significa que dejan de contribuir para el entendimiento del sistema de enseñanza. Queda claro que si se aproximan los datos cuantitativos con el punto de vista de los actores de la comunidad escolar se pueden aprehender las contribuciones de estos dos campos de investigación para poder reflexionar sobre la escuela y la búsqueda por mas calidad.Este trabalho faz parte da pesquisa de mestrado sobre os “Fatores intraescolares e desempenho escolar: o que faz a diferenca?”. Neste texto sao apresentados os dados coletados durante a investigação que evidenciam o impacto da divulgação dos resultados do Ideb sobre o cotidiano de uma escola pública do Rio de Janeiro. Visando integrar os dados quantitativos, trazidos pelas estatisticas das avaliações externas, com os dados qualitativos do cotidiano da escola, se adotou como metodologia a abordagem etnografica. O pesquisador permaneceu imerso no campo por seis meses reunindo os dados atraves da observação participante, entrevistas com os gestores e professores, alem de acompanhar as atividades nas salas de aulas e analisar os documentos da escola. Adotou-se como referencial teorico os estudos da sociologia dos estabelecimentos escolares, alem das pesquisas sobre escolas eficazes no Brasil, Estados Unidos e Inglaterra. Foi possivel identificar que os dados, levantados pelas pesquisas de avaliação externas, sao redirecionados dentro do espaco escolar pelos seus atores, mas que nao deixam de contribuir com o entendimento do sistema de ensino.
