Resumo: The article analyzes the main tendencies to increasing demands and new proposals of policies and instruments to finance the higher education studies, an strategical thematic of human capital development in the knowledge society, which is part of the challenges that nowadays, can be already noticed in different countries. Some cases are reviewed in the countries bellow: Australia, Germany, United Kingdom, Chile, the United States and Colombia, that in several formats, directions and instruments, try to solve a set of common problems. The text ends analyzing the similarities and differences and also the formulation of proposals that, besides any ideological, political and technical position, are based on the state's key role and on several public policies showed in different scenes.

En razon de ello se revisan algunos casos a nivel de paises: Australia, Alemania, Reino Unido, Chile, Estados Unidos y Colombia, que bajo diversos formatos, orientaciones e instrumentos, buscan resolver un conjunto de problemas comunes. El texto termina con un analisis de semejanza y diferencias y de formulacion de proposiciones que, mas alla de cualquier posicion, ideologico, politica y tecnica se asientan en el rol clave que al respecto juega el estado y las diversas politicas publicas en los distintos escenarios que se exponen.O artigo analisa as principais tendencias em materia de demandas crescentes e novas propostas de politicas e instrumentos de financiamento dos estudos universitarios, tematica estrategica para o desenvolvimento do capital humano na sociedade do conhecimento, e que faz parte dos desafios que na atualidade ja se vislumbram em diferentes paises. Sao revistos alguns casos nos seguintes paises: Australia, Alemanha, Reino Unido, Chile, Estados Unidos e Colômbia, que, sob diversos formatos, orientacoes e instrumentos, buscam resolver um conjunto de problemas comuns.
